Sephardi Chief Rabbi David Yosef convened a gathering of major religious leaders in Israel at the Druze Emergency Center in Julis, expressing solidarity with the Druze community amid recent violence in Syria. Rabbi Yosef emphasized the deep bond between Jews and Druze, urging the state to protect the Druze wherever they are and calling on religious leaders to champion the sanctity of life. The meeting included imams and Christian leaders, such as Greek Orthodox Patriarch Theophilus III, and highlighted a unified stance against the suffering faced by Druze in Syria. Druze Sheikh Muwaffaq Tarif described the visit as a beacon of hope and solidarity in response to the atrocities experienced by the Druze community. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also visited the center earlier in the day.
