Israeli military and security forces have recovered the body of Ilan Weiss, a slain hostage, during an operation in the Gaza Strip. Weiss, aged fifty-six, was killed while defending Kibbutz Be'eri on October seventh last year and his body was subsequently taken to Gaza. Alongside Weiss, the remains of another hostage were also found, though their identity has not yet been disclosed. The recovered bodies are undergoing identification at a forensic institute. Despite these developments, terror groups in Gaza continue to hold dozens of hostages, with many still believed to be alive.
