Health officials in central Gaza report that four people were killed by Israeli gunfire while waiting for aid, with their bodies taken to Al-Awda Hospital. Over the past 24 hours, the Health Ministry says fifteen people have died and more than two hundred have been wounded while seeking aid. The ministry also reports that ten people, including three children, have died from starvation and malnutrition in the same period, bringing the total number of malnutrition-related deaths during the war to at least three hundred thirty-two, with one hundred twenty-four of those being children.
These figures have not been independently verified. Israeli authorities deny that famine exists in Gaza and cite the delivery of hundreds of tons of aid in recent weeks. Israel also denies intentionally targeting people seeking aid, though it has acknowledged firing warning shots at individuals perceived as a threat to its troops.
