Nir Oz members return to kibbutz to commemorate two years since attack

Members of Kibbutz Nir Oz returned to their devastated community to mark two years since the October seventh attack. Arriving from their temporary home in Kiryat Gat, they visited the cemetery and held a ceremony to honor those lost and call for the release of hostages still held in Gaza. Sagui Dekel-Chen, recently freed from captivity, shared his emotional experience of visiting the cemetery for the first time since his release. The attack left the kibbutz largely destroyed, with a quarter of its residents murdered or kidnapped. Pictures of the nine remaining hostages were carried by the convoy, as families expressed hope for their return and for the rebuilding of their community. Renovation efforts are underway, with some residents expected to move back in December.
