Ireland is set to increase its financial support for Gaza, with the Cabinet to be briefed on a substantial new aid package. Tanaiste Simon Harris recently announced an additional six million euro for aid organisations working in Gaza, bringing Ireland's total support for Palestine to over 95 million euro since January 2023. The country has also joined an international coalition addressing the financial crisis facing the Palestinian Authority. In addition to immediate aid, Ireland is expected to contribute to Gaza's reconstruction, and a shipment of tents is being prepared for delivery to the region.
