Rafah Crossing won't open today, contrary to reports, security official tells ToI

The Rafah Crossing between Gaza and Egypt will remain closed today, despite earlier reports suggesting it might open. An Israeli security official confirmed that preparations for the crossing's reopening are still underway, and it will be used exclusively for the movement of Gazans. The closure follows Israel's decision to keep the crossing shut as a response to delays by Hamas in releasing the bodies of hostages. Humanitarian aid, however, continues to reach Gaza through other crossings, including Kerem Shalom, after security checks by Israeli authorities.
