Shas chairman Aryeh Deri has called on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to freeze all actions related to the ceasefire deal with Hamas until the group returns the bodies of hostages still held in Gaza. Deri emphasized that no steps, including opening the Rafah crossing or allowing aid, should proceed until Hamas cooperates fully in returning the bodies for burial. Currently, Hamas has released nine of the 28 hostages' bodies, with 19 remaining in Gaza. The Hostages and Missing Families Forum also urged the government to halt the ceasefire process, accusing Hamas of violating agreements and warning that any action not ensuring the return of the bodies would be a betrayal of Israeli civilians.
