The International Centre of Justice for Palestinians has filed an application to prosecute a British citizen for allegedly joining the Israeli military during its conflict with Palestine. The group claims this action violates a nineteenth-century law that prohibits British citizens from serving in foreign armies at war with states at peace with the United Kingdom. The legal move, described as highly unusual, is based on evidence concerning more than ten individuals, though only one has been named in the court application so far. The organization argues that Israel's military actions constitute a war against all of Palestine, and that any British involvement would be a breach of UK law.
