Lebanon's president orders army to 'confront any Israeli incursion'

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun has instructed the country's armed forces to resist any Israeli advances in southern Lebanon. This directive follows an Israeli military raid in the town of Blida, which reportedly resulted in the death of a municipal worker. The president emphasized the need to defend Lebanese territory and ensure the safety of citizens. Israeli forces stated that their operation targeted Hezbollah infrastructure and confirmed that Lebanese troops arrived after their withdrawal, with no direct confrontation reported. Additional Israeli strikes targeted a rocket launcher and tunnel shaft linked to Hezbollah in the Mahmoudiyeh area.
