Police sources have told Haaretz that there is no evidence linking Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara to the Sde Teiman leak scandal, following a forensic examination of the phone belonging to former military advocate general Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi. Tomer-Yerushalmi is accused of leaking videos showing alleged abuse at the Sde Teiman holding facility and subsequently attempting to cover up her involvement. Her phone, which was recovered from the sea after she went missing for several hours, has been thoroughly analyzed by investigators.
Despite accusations from political figures, especially from the right, suggesting Baharav-Miara's involvement due to her supervisory role, police have found no incriminating evidence on Tomer-Yerushalmi's device. Baharav-Miara has recused herself from the investigation, while Justice Minister Yariv Levin is seeking to appoint an external investigator amid ongoing legal disputes over the process.
