Yitzhak Goldknopf, leader of the United Torah Judaism party and its Hasidic faction, announced that the party's rabbinic leadership will review a new bill regulating Haredi conscription. The bill, drafted by Boaz Bismuth, aims to address the contentious issue of military service for the Haredi community. Goldknopf emphasized that any decision will be made in accordance with the guidance of the Council of Torah Sages, who prioritize preserving Torah study and oppose sanctions against Torah students. The Degel HaTorah faction within the party has previously shown support for the proposal.
