Pakistan and Egypt have agreed to establish a new business council to strengthen private sector cooperation and boost business-to-business relations. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar announced that Pakistan will provide Egypt with a list of 250 key business houses to enhance commercial engagement, with plans to add more businesses in the future. The two countries will also set up a joint business forum, with its first meeting scheduled for Cairo in 2026, aiming to advance trade, investment, and economic collaboration. Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Ahmed Mohamed Abdelatty emphasized Egypt's readiness to work closely with Pakistan on global challenges, including security, climate change, and food and energy security, and invited Pakistani businesses to explore opportunities in Egypt. Both sides also discussed intensifying cooperation on security and reconstruction efforts in the Middle East, with Egypt inviting Pakistan to participate in the rebuilding of Gaza.
