Thai officials have confirmed that remains recently handed over to Israel by militants in Gaza belong to Sudthisak Rinthalak, the last Thai hostage taken during the October seventh attack that ignited the ongoing conflict. Sudthisak, an agricultural worker, was killed on the day of the attack and his body was taken into Gaza. His family has been notified, and the Thai government expressed gratitude for the return of all 31 Thai hostages, with 28 surviving and three deceased. The exchange of hostages and remains continues to be a central part of the ceasefire agreement, with both sides nearing completion of the first phase.
