US Ambassador to the United Nations Mike Waltz met with Prince Rashid bin El-Hassan, chairman of the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization, to discuss ongoing humanitarian aid efforts for Gaza. The meeting, attended by representatives from United Nations agencies and the US Embassy in Amman, focused on strengthening international partnerships and improving the Jordanian relief corridor to ensure efficient delivery of aid to Gaza.
During the visit, the delegation inaugurated a new logistics operations center for the charity organization. Waltz highlighted the importance of US-Jordan cooperation in providing essential supplies such as tents, blankets, medical items, food, and flour to Palestinians. He also stressed that removing bureaucratic barriers, achieving a ceasefire, and implementing agreements are crucial for Gaza's reconstruction and the expansion of humanitarian assistance.
