Pakistan and seven other Muslim-majority countries have strongly condemned an Israeli raid on the United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees' headquarters in East Jerusalem. The incident, which involved the seizure of equipment and cutting of communications, was described by the agency as part of ongoing harassment. In a joint statement, the foreign ministers of these countries called the raid a violation of international law and stressed the irreplaceable role of the agency in supporting Palestinians amid a deepening humanitarian crisis in Gaza. The ministers urged the international community to maintain funding for the agency, warning that any weakening of its capacity would have serious humanitarian and political consequences across the region.
