Former hostage Romi Gonen has shared her traumatic experiences during captivity in Gaza, detailing repeated sexual assaults by four different men. Speaking on Channel 12's 'Uvda' program, Gonen described how her ordeal began just days after her abduction, with a doctor assigned to care for her injuries abusing her under the guise of medical assistance.
Gonen recounted further assaults by a cameraman and two other captors, describing how she was forced to endure harassment and abuse in silence, often under threat and constant surveillance. She revealed the psychological torment of living in fear, with her captors controlling her every move and threatening her life if she spoke out.
The most harrowing attack, according to Gonen, occurred when a captor assaulted her for half an hour in a bathroom, a moment she described as unforgettable due to the stark contrast between the brutality inside and the peaceful world outside. Throughout her captivity, Gonen lived with the constant threat of violence and the fear that she would never be freed.
