Israeli organizers of the Loop Festival, a series of electronic music parties in Pai, Thailand, have canceled future events following a wave of online incitement and vandalism by anti-Israel activists. The festival, which brought together participants from Israel and other countries, faced accusations and threats on social media after its first successful event.
Promotional materials were burned and equipment at the venue was destroyed, prompting organizers to relocate for the second party. Despite taking extra security measures, local authorities later informed the team that no further events would be permitted. The cancellations resulted in significant financial losses for the organizers, who expressed confusion and disappointment over the situation.
Police have not identified the vandals, and organizers believe the local community felt threatened by the escalating campaign against them. Despite the setbacks, the founders remain determined to continue their efforts and stand against antisemitism.
