The statement comes after Saudi Arabia conducted an airstrike on a weapons shipment from the United Arab Emirates in the Yemeni port city of Al-Mukalla, amid rising tensions involving the Southern Transitional Council. Indonesia praised efforts by regional actors to maintain stability, especially in the provinces of Hadramout and Al-Mahara, and urged all sides to avoid actions that could worsen the security situation. Jakarta emphasized the need for inclusive political dialogue under the coordination of the United Nations and expressed concern that escalating tensions could increase the suffering of the Yemeni people.
