Over 120 residents have fled the Bedouin hamlet of Ras Ein al-Auja in the Jordan Valley following repeated attacks and harassment by Israeli settlers, according to the rights group B'Tselem. Ras Ein al-Auja, the last Bedouin community in the southern Jordan Valley, has seen 26 families leave this week, leaving about 100 families remaining. The rights group reports that the community has faced daily violence, theft of livestock, vandalism, and physical assaults, with settlers often backed by military and police forces. The establishment of a new Israeli outpost just 200 meters from the hamlet was described as the final straw for those who fled, amid ongoing efforts to expand control over the region.
