College football player who 'stabbed teammates' hopes to transfer

Daniel Israel Mincey, a former University of Alabama at Birmingham football player, has entered the transfer portal just two months after allegedly stabbing two teammates before a game. Mincey, who previously transferred from the University of Kentucky, is facing charges of attempted murder and assault and plans to plead guilty as a youthful offender at a January hearing. The incident occurred at the team's facility, hours before UAB played South Florida, resulting in both victims being hospitalized but later released and recovering. Mincey's future in football is uncertain, as his fate will be determined by Judge William Bell Jr., who is conducting a youthful offender investigation ahead of sentencing.
