Israel's military has announced a series of strikes against Hezbollah infrastructure in southern Lebanon, targeting areas reportedly used for training and drills. These attacks come despite a ceasefire agreement reached in November 2024, which was intended to end more than a year of hostilities between the two sides. Lebanon recently reported progress in disarming Hezbollah south of the Litani River, but Israel has criticized these efforts as inadequate.
The latest strikes were confirmed by Lebanon's National News Agency, which cited attacks on at least five villages north of the Litani River, an area not covered by the initial phase of disarmament. Tensions remain high in the region, with continued military actions and casualties reported, including a fatal strike last week.
