A court has heard that the ex-wife of Danny Cahalane, who died after an acid attack in Plymouth, provided information about his whereabouts to a drug gang leader in exchange for money. Prosecutors allege Paris Wilson 'set up' her ex-husband as part of an attempted kidnapping over a large unpaid debt, and that she believed he 'deserved to be hurt.' Several individuals are on trial for murder, manslaughter, and other charges related to the organised crime gang. The jury was shown evidence of threats, confrontations, and messages indicating Wilson's involvement in facilitating the attack. The trial is ongoing at Winchester Crown Court.
