Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has intensified diplomatic outreach, holding separate phone conversations with the foreign ministers of Iran and Türkiye. The discussions followed Pakistan's decision to oppose a United Nations Human Rights Council resolution that sought greater international scrutiny of Iran after recent protests. Iran expressed gratitude for Pakistan's support, viewing it as a principled stance against what it called interference in its internal affairs.

Dar also spoke with Türkiye's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan to review developments from the World Economic Forum and agreed to maintain close coordination on regional and international issues. These engagements reflect Islamabad's increasing role in regional diplomacy, particularly on matters related to Middle East stability and humanitarian concerns.
