In the rehearsal tent: Here's what makes the Milan Cortina Winter...

Inside a massive tent near Milan's San Siro stadium, over 1,200 volunteers, including classically trained dancers from La Scala's academy, are rehearsing for the Milan Cortina Winter Olympics opening ceremony. The creative director, Marco Balich, has brought together people from all walks of life to embody this year's theme of 'Harmony,' a message seen as especially relevant amid global unrest. The ceremony will feature performances by renowned artists such as Mariah Carey, Andrea Bocelli, Cecilia Bartoli, Laura Pausini, and Lang Lang, alongside traditional Olympic moments like the parade of athletes and the lighting of two cauldrons inspired by Leonardo da Vinci. With the Games set to be the most geographically spread out in history, the opening event aims to unite participants and viewers in a celebration of peace, creativity, and Italian excellence.
