Netanyahu slams Gaza Palestinian technocratic committee's use of PA logo

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office has strongly criticized the Gaza Palestinian technocratic committee for updating its logo to closely resemble the emblem of the Palestinian Authority. The statement from Netanyahu's office emphasized that Israel will not accept the use of the Palestinian Authority's symbol and reiterated its opposition to the Palestinian Authority's involvement in Gaza's administration.

The National Committee for the Administration of Gaza recently changed its logo, replacing the original design with one that is nearly identical to the Palestinian Authority's, except for a different label at the bottom. This move is seen as an attempt by the committee to associate itself with the Palestinian Authority, despite Israel's efforts to keep the two entities separate.

While Israel has consistently opposed any formal role for the Palestinian Authority in Gaza, Netanyahu recently acknowledged that representatives from the Authority would participate in operations at the Rafah Border Crossing. The technocratic committee's members also have connections to the Palestinian Authority, even if they are not currently serving as officials.
