Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a deadly workplace incident earlier this month at an oil refinery in Ashdod, where two factory workers were killed. The employees were found unconscious inside their hazardous materials suits and were pronounced dead at the scene after apparently suffocating.
The suspect is a partner in the company responsible for supplying oxygen cylinders to the facility. Authorities believe the tanks provided to the workers did not contain medical air and may have been filled with another substance that led to their deaths.
Investigators suspect murder with indifference and plan to bring the suspect to court to request an extension of his detention as the investigation continues.
