Bilateral merchandise trade reached 3.62 billion dollars in 2024 to 2025, as negotiations formally opened in New Delhi.
He also praised Israel’s historic and ongoing influence on Indian agriculture, citing inspiration from the Kibbutz movement and the impact of Israeli expertise in precision irrigation and water management. Modi announced the establishment of a parliamentary friendship group for Israel in the Indian parliament, signaling closer political engagement.
Emphasizing philosophical parallels between Judaism and Hinduism, Modi spoke about shared ethical traditions centered on moral duty and compassion. He concluded by expressing hope that the partnership would contribute to global stability and prosperity, ending his speech with national rallying cries from both countries to strong applause.
