Saudi Arabia's King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center has established a central kitchen in the Gaza Strip to provide daily hot meals to Palestinians during Ramadan. The kitchen began operations last week and is distributing 24,000 meals each day to residents in Deir Al-Balah and Al-Qarara as part of a broader national relief campaign.

By the end of the initiative, the kitchen is expected to produce and distribute 3,600,000 meals and create employment for 40 local workers. The effort aims to support more than 36,000 families and is described as the largest central kitchen serving displaced people in the area.

Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah said that 90 percent of Gaza's population is living below the poverty line and lacks access to food, water, medicine, and basic necessities for children. He described the situation as one of the largest humanitarian crises in history.

Saudi Arabia has delivered aid to Gaza through more than 80 aircraft and dozens of ships, as well as land convoys عبر Jordan and Egypt. When other delivery methods were not possible after October 2023, the aid center also carried out airdrops to ensure assistance reached those in need.
