New footage shows an Israeli left-wing activist pleading 'No, please no!' as she is beaten during a settler attack in the West Bank. The assault took place on Friday as two activists were attempting to provide a protective presence for Palestinians in a vulnerable village.
Both activists were wounded and airlifted to Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva in moderate condition, according to the national ambulance service. The settlers were seen arriving in an all-terrain vehicle similar to those previously provided to illegal outposts to strengthen control over the area.
No arrests have been made, and members of the governing coalition have not commented on the incident. President Isaac Herzog condemned the attack, saying it does not represent the broader settler movement. Attacks by settlers have been occurring almost daily, prompting a small but growing number of left-wing activists to volunteer in Palestinian communities.
