El Al is preparing a rescue operation to bring Israelis stranded abroad back home once airspace reopens and approval is granted for flights to resume. The airline says passengers who already hold El Al tickets will receive priority placement on these rescue flights.
Ticket sales have been suspended until March 21 or until all existing ticket holders have been assigned seats. The airline says the pause is intended to prioritize customers whose tickets were issued before the recent escalation.
Eligible passengers will be automatically assigned to flights and notified directly once new travel details are confirmed. In the meantime, all El Al flights remain suspended through March 1 due to the closure of Israel's airspace, and affected travelers are entitled to a cash refund or voucher.
