Israel's military said it carried out overnight airstrikes on dozens of multi-story buildings in Beirut's southern suburbs that it described as being used by Hezbollah. Targets included the headquarters of the group's executive council and a warehouse allegedly used for storing drones.
According to the military, the sites functioned as command centers intended to help Hezbollah plan and carry out attacks against Israeli forces and the state of Israel. Prior to the strikes, evacuation warnings were issued for four neighborhoods in the southern suburbs, an area considered a Hezbollah stronghold.
