Israel carried out airstrikes on Iran's national oil sites on Saturday evening, marking the first such attack since the war began. According to Iranian officials, fighter jets struck three oil depots in Kohak, Shahran, and Karaj, targeting a total of 30 oil storage tanks.

The Israeli military said the operation focused on fuel storage facilities in Tehran that it claims are used by Iran's military forces to support infrastructure and distribute fuel to military entities. It described the strike as a significant step aimed at deepening damage to Iran's military capabilities and reducing threats against Israel.

Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid welcomed the attack, calling for broader strikes on Iran's oil fields and energy industry. He said such actions would weaken Iran's economy and push toward the fall of its government, along with the destruction of its nuclear facilities, ballistic missile industry, and allied forces in Lebanon.
