An Israeli airstrike on a primary healthcare center in the southern Lebanese town of Burj Qalawiya killed at least 12 medical personnel, according to Lebanon's health ministry. The victims included doctors, paramedics and nurses who were on duty at the time of the strike, and one additional healthcare worker was reported injured as rescue efforts continued.
The health ministry described the attack as the second strike on the health sector within a few hours, following another strike in Sawaneh that killed two paramedics affiliated with Hezbollah and its ally Amal. The Israeli military has not immediately commented on the incident as fighting between Israel and Hezbollah continues to escalate.
