Grace Tame's charity is facing fresh scrutiny after financial filings revealed losses exceeding $180,000 over the past two years. The Grace Tame Foundation reported a deficit of $60,640 in the 2025 financial year, following a $121,690 loss the year before, according to documents lodged with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission. Despite the losses, the foundation stated there were reasonable grounds to believe it could continue paying its debts, with total equity reported at $129,563.
The financial strain comes amid growing internal tensions linked to Tame's controversial 'globalise the intifada' remark at a pro-Palestine rally in February. The speech reportedly caused unease among some board members and triggered public backlash, including a petition calling for her national honour to be revoked. Tame has said she does not support violence and claims she is the target of a coordinated smear campaign.
Compounding the pressure, Tame recently announced she has lost all speaking engagements for the remainder of the year, eliminating a significant source of income. The foundation, established in 2022 to advocate against child sexual abuse, primarily relies on donations and funds services such as psychological support, legal assistance for survivors, and staff costs.
