Dozens of rockets were fired at Israel Defense Forces troops operating in southern Lebanon on Monday, as fighting intensified along the northern border. The military said the launches targeted forces inside Lebanese territory and did not cross into Israeli airspace. No casualties were immediately reported.
Interceptor missiles were launched from the northern city of Kiryat Shmona despite the absence of warning sirens, causing alarm among residents. A senior military official said Hezbollah is preparing to concentrate its fire in larger attacks, warning that any escalation would be met with a severe response.
At the same time, Iran launched missile barrages toward multiple regions across Israel, triggering air raid sirens in central, northern and southern areas. Some of the missiles were intercepted, and emergency services reported no injuries. Authorities later said civilians could leave protected spaces after the immediate threat had passed.
