World number one snooker player Judd Trump has revealed that he is effectively homeless after leaving Dubai because of escalating tensions in the Middle East involving the United States of America and Iran. Trump, who moved to Dubai in January 2024 for its weather and training facilities, said the uncertainty has forced him to relocate temporarily.
The 36 year old has recently been staying in Bangkok, Thailand, where he has been practising ahead of competing in Yushan, China. He said he does not feel able to return to Dubai for fear of becoming stuck there amid the ongoing instability.
Trump explained that he and his brother Jack, who also lives in Dubai, were left in a difficult position, with his brother briefly unable to leave. For now, Trump is living in hotels and taking a day by day approach, focusing on his snooker while he searches for a more permanent base.
