The National Cyber Directorate has warned that some Israelis received fraudulent messages claiming to be from the Home Front Command. The messages are part of a phishing attempt designed to mislead recipients.
According to the directorate, the text message includes a link to download an application that is not legitimate. Officials caution that the application could be used to steal personal information from those who install it.
Authorities urge the public to avoid clicking on suspicious links and to verify the authenticity of any unexpected messages before taking action.
