The United States and Israel have reportedly carried out strikes on 16 Iranian cargo vessels in port towns along the Gulf, according to local Iranian media. The ships were said to be docked in the southern province of Hormozgan at the time of the attack.

A local official, cited by the Tasnim news agency, stated that the vessels belonged to residents of Bandar Lengeh and Bandar Kong. The official said the ships were completely burned following what was described as an American-Zionist air attack.
