A doctor from Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba was wounded after an Iranian missile launched toward Israel was intercepted near Nevatim, with fragments landing close to his home in the Bedouin village of Alsira. The doctor, Asra Abu Rafa, had just returned from his shift when the incident occurred.
The hospital said he is in moderate condition. His wife and infant daughter, who were also at home, were reported to be in good condition.
In addition to his injuries, seventeen other people were admitted to Soroka Medical Center suffering from severe anxiety following the attack.
