Jordan condemned an Iranian attack on Bahrain that killed a Moroccan civilian contractor working with the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces and injured several Emirati and Bahraini personnel. The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates described the assault as heinous and a violation of Bahrain's sovereignty, warning that it further threatens regional security and stability.

Amman expressed full solidarity with Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, supporting their right to take necessary measures to safeguard their sovereignty, security and citizens. The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Defence confirmed the contractor was killed during a routine mission and reported that five of its personnel were wounded, offering condolences to the victim's family.

The attack came amid heightened tensions following strikes by the United States and Israel on Iranian military targets that killed senior leaders. King Abdullah of Jordan reiterated that Arab states were not involved in the United States-led attacks on Iran and did not initiate the current conflict, which began on Feb. 28.
