Israel military chief outlines expanded campaign in Lebanon
During a visit to southern Lebanon, Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir said the military has 'additional significant plans' for its ongoing offensive against Hezbollah. He described the moment as a historic crossroads and said operations are being carried out under a broader strategy aimed at reshaping the security landscape from Tehran to Beirut.
Zamir emphasized that Israeli forces will continue operating in the area for as long as necessary to deliver substantial blows to Hezbollah and eliminate threats to communities in northern Israel. He added that further phases of the campaign are already being prepared as part of the effort to fundamentally change the security situation along the northern front.
