Minister Omprakash Rajbhar said that tensions involving the United States, Israel and Iran have disrupted international oil supplies, causing temporary difficulties. He stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working on a war footing and holding discussions to manage the situation and ensure stability.
Rajbhar assured that ships carrying oil for India have already departed and that supply will normalise soon. He urged the public not to panic or hoard fuel, emphasising that adequate quantities will be made available and that patience is required.
He also asked petrol pump operators not to display 'no stock' boards without valid reasons, warning that such actions create unnecessary rumours and crowding. Dismissing opposition allegations of a deliberate shortage, Rajbhar accused them of spreading misinformation and maintained that the government's goal is to provide relief to citizens, not create a crisis.
