The messages, shared by members of the group Greens for Palestine, included claims that the attack was an 'inside job' and suggestions that Jewish people were responsible.

The revelations come ahead of a vote at the party's spring conference on a motion that would define Zionism as a form of racism and formally position the party as anti Zionist. Jewish members of the party have expressed fears that such a move could marginalize or expel them based on their religious identity and community involvement.

Some activists also defended a former National Health Service doctor currently facing charges of inviting support for Hamas and stirring up racial hatred. The Campaign Against Antisemitism condemned the messages, while political opponents have urged party leader Zack Polanski to take disciplinary action. A party spokesperson said the views expressed in the leaked exchange do not represent official Green Party positions.
