Pakistan is set to host foreign ministers from Saudi Arabia, Turkiye and Egypt in Islamabad for discussions focused on de-escalating tensions in the region. The visiting ministers will meet with Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar as well as Prime Minister Sharif, with talks expected to center on coordinated efforts to reduce hostilities.
Islamabad has increasingly positioned itself as a mediator between Iran and the United States, leveraging its ties with Tehran and strong relationships in the Gulf. Reports suggest that indirect exchanges between Tehran and Washington have passed through Pakistan, and further direct engagement between the two sides may take place in the country soon.
