The Israel Defense Forces said several Hezbollah operatives were killed during ongoing ground operations in southern Lebanon, as troops advanced further into the area. The military released footage showing one strike targeting a group of gunmen.
According to the army, members of the 869th Combat Intelligence Collection Unit identified several Hezbollah fighters entering a building in southern Lebanon. Shortly afterward, an Israeli Air Force drone struck the site, killing the operatives.
In a separate incident, troops from the Givati Brigade spotted Hezbollah members attempting to plant explosive devices and fire mortars at Israeli forces. Soldiers responded with gunfire, killing the fighters. No Israeli troops were reported injured.
The military also said that Givati Brigade troops uncovered a weapons cache containing dozens of anti tank missiles, grenades, and other explosive devices.
