Oil prices surged on Monday after Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthi movement launched its first attacks on Israel since the start of the war involving the United States and Israel against Iran, expanding tensions across the Middle East.
Brent crude rose by 2.81 percent to reach 115.73 dollars per barrel, building on a 4.2 percent increase in the previous session. United States West Texas Intermediate crude climbed 3.14 percent to 102.77 dollars per barrel, following a 5.5 percent gain earlier.
The escalation has heightened concerns about broader regional instability and potential disruptions to global energy supplies, driving strong gains in oil markets.
