Israeli military forces said they identified an armed cell belonging to Hamas operating in the northern Gaza Strip on Sunday night. After locating the group, troops carried out a strike that killed the militants, stating the action was taken to eliminate a direct threat.

According to the military, forces remain deployed in the southern sector under the terms of the ceasefire agreement. Officials said operations will continue as needed to remove any immediate dangers to Israeli troops stationed in the area.
