King Abdullah the Second of Jordan and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer held a phone call to discuss efforts to achieve comprehensive calm amid escalating regional tensions. The Jordanian monarch urged the international community to take effective action to reduce tensions following recent military developments.

King Abdullah condemned attacks targeting Jordan and several Arab countries, warning of their serious consequences for regional security and stability. Starmer also denounced Iran's actions and reaffirmed Britain's support and solidarity with Jordan.

The escalation comes as Iran launched missiles toward Israel and targeted American aircraft at Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan, as well as other bases in Arab Gulf countries. Some missiles struck civilian sites, including areas in Dubai, causing disruption to flights across the region.
