The 70th Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Vienna in May 2026, following Austrian singer JJ's victory in 2025 with his song 'Wasted Love'. The grand final is set for 16 May at the Wiener Stadthalle, with semi-finals taking place on 12 and 14 May. A total of 35 देशों will compete, with the top ten from each semi-final joining the automatically qualified finalists in the final.

The United Kingdom will be represented by electronic artist and inventor Look Mum No Computer with the song 'Eins, Zwei, Drei'. As one of the major financial contributors, the United Kingdom automatically qualifies for the final along with Austria, France, Germany and Italy. Australia will also compete, although it cannot host the contest if it wins.

Five देशों — Iceland, Ireland, the Netherlands, Slovenia and Spain — are boycotting the event in protest at Israel's participation. Tensions have increased in recent years over Israel's involvement, with protests, open letters from former contestants and disruptions during performances. Organisers have responded by adjusting voting rules for 2026, reducing the maximum number of public votes per viewer and strengthening monitoring to prevent coordinated or fraudulent voting.
