An Israeli military strike hit a building in the Beddawi Palestinian refugee camp in the northern coastal city of Tripoli, killing two people and wounding another, according to Lebanon's Health Ministry. The attack occurred without prior warning and marked the northernmost strike reported so far.
The Israeli military did not immediately comment on who was targeted in the strike. Beddawi, located about 85 kilometers north of Beirut and far from the Lebanese border with Israel, had previously been targeted during the 2024 war between Israel and Hezbollah.
In a separate incident, Lebanon's state news agency reported that an overnight Israeli drone strike hit a vehicle on a coastal highway in southern Lebanon, killing three people. The highway links the city of Tyre with the border town of Naqoura near Israel.
